Coffee Lover? Give a gourmet coffee basket as a gift!
Are you are gourmet coffee person? Do you give gourmet coffee as gifts? A gift basket filled with different tastes can make a wonderful gift for people. It is suggested though that you make sure the person is adventurous and will try the different tastes out. Often people have a particular brand they like and will not drink anything else.
Gourmet coffee is preferred because of the flavor. To get it tasting just right there are several things you need to do. Begin with fresh beans. Grind before brewing taken from an airtight container. Begin with fresh, cold water and as the water affects the flavor if it is not very good from the tap use bottled or filtered.
To get the full flavor of your gourmet coffee the proportion to the water is super important. If your drink tastes bitter it means you have not had enough coffee and you will need to add more. Too much will make it too strong and you will need to add more hot water. Also the ideal brew temperature is 195 – 200 degrees Fahrenheit. If using a plunger then the water needs to be poured in just off the boil.
Another hint to thoroughly enjoy a drink of gourmet coffee is never let boiling water come in contact with the grounds. It is best served immediately and it does retain flavor up to 20 minutes after brewing.
Therefore, if your gourmet coffee is not tasting exactly like you want it to, then check the basic brewing techniques to ensure everything is working effectively.
